"International protection is a fundamental right granted to people fleeing persecution. In the absence of legal migration routes, people are forced to flee irregularly. This condition is exacerbated by a system that relentlessly seeks to externalise borders in the name of the neurotic ideal that is Fortress Europe. An ideal implemented at all European borders through ruthless pushbacks, on land and at sea. Violent, inhuman operations that violate people's rights and international law."
